Marshfield, Wisconsin – Tammy L. Sterzinger, aged 48, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, surrounded by her family at Marshfield Medical Center.
Her battle with aggressive lung cancer, which had metastasized to her brain, came to an end after a period of intense struggle.
Tammy was widely known and cherished within her community.
Born on October 21, 1975, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Known for her generous spirit, Tammy was a mother of seven and touched countless lives as a local school bus driver, where she was affectionately remembered as the "cool bus driver."
She was passionate about advocating for the wrongfully convicted and dedicated significant time to spreading awareness and supporting others.
Her home had an open-door policy, often filled with her family, friends, and neighbors.
Condolences poured in across social media, with Destiny Kay expressing, “Love and miss you, mom.
These last 24 hours have been so hard,” while Wendy Preston added, “Sorry for your loss, praying for you and the family.”
Tammy is survived by her husband, Jeremiah, and their children, all of whom were by her side during her final moments.
