Napa, California – Ralph Andino III, 54, of American Canyon, and Georgina Padilla, 38, of Napa, have been identified as the victims in a devastating double shooting that occurred on Thursday morning, September 28, 2024.
The Napa County Coroner’s Office confirmed their identities after the incident, which took place in the normally quiet neighborhood of Lincoln Avenue.
Authorities reported that the tragic events unfolded around 9:45 a.m. when officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.
Upon arrival, they found both victims suffering from severe gunshot wounds outside a residence.
Despite the immediate efforts of emergency medical personnel, Andino and Padilla were pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspected shooter, 28-year-old Baltazar Rangel Juarez, allegedly targeted the victims before fleeing the scene.
A high-speed chase ensued, culminating in Kennedy Park when Juarez’s vehicle was disabled.
In a tense standoff that followed, Juarez, armed and refusing to surrender, shot himself but survived.
He is currently hospitalized under guard, and his condition remains undisclosed.
