Maurice William Plunkett, Renowned Builder and Entrepreneur, Passes Away at 95 Surrounded by Family

Maurice William Plunkett, a respected figure in the manufacturing industry and a loving husband, father, and grandfather, has passed away at the age of 95. Plunkett died peacefully on the evening of September 22, 2024, at Hollywood Hospital, with his family by his side.

Plunkett was a man of many talents, known for his ability to build anything, from planes to houses, and for founding Plunketts Baby Furniture, a successful manufacturing business. However, his greatest achievement, according to his daughter Natalie, was his enduring love for his wife.

Natalie Plunkett paid a heartfelt tribute to her father on social media, sharing her admiration for his strength, ambition, and love for his family. “Dad could build anything, but the biggest and best thing was his love for my mother,” she wrote. She also reminisced about his remarkable life and the values he instilled in his children.

Condolences have poured in from friends and loved ones. “Condolences to you, Natalie Plunkett, and your family. Very sad to hear this news,” wrote Carla J D’Agostino, while Edith Rodrigues-Thomas expressed, “May your dad RIP, and I pray that God gives all of you the much-needed strength.”

Plunkett leaves behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and perseverance. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many whose lives he touched.
