New York City, New York – Lindsay Mikus, a dedicated veterinarian and passionate animal rights activist, tragically passed away on October 1, 2024, at the age of 40.
Her untimely death has left her family, friends, and the community at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary in deep mourning.
Lindsay was a caring mother, a committed caregiver, and a voice for the voiceless, known for her unwavering dedication to animal welfare.
Since 2018, she had been working at the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary in High Falls, New York, where she was a key figure in the sanctuary’s mission to protect and rehabilitate farm animals.
Lindsay’s advocacy extended beyond her work as a veterinarian; she was a strong proponent of veganism and alternative wellness practices, always striving to create a better world for both humans and animals.
The cause of her death has not been publicly disclosed.
Rachel McCrystal, a close friend and colleague, organized a GoFundMe campaign to support Lindsay’s children, Avery and Julian, during this difficult time.
"Lindsay was one of the most kind-hearted, sensitive, and altruistic people on earth," McCrystal wrote.
