Las Vegas, Nevada – A tragic accident claimed the life of 63-year-old Fridolin Peter Theodor Peters, a motorcyclist from Steinfurt, Germany. The incident occurred on Thursday, September 12, 2024, on Interstate 15, approximately three miles south of Mesquite, Nevada, as reported by Nevada State Police.
Peters, who was riding a 2024 Harley Davidson Classic, lost control of his motorcycle while heading northbound. He drifted out of his lane and collided with a concrete median barrier wall. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Nevada State Police Traffic Homicide Unit.
Emergency responders rushed Peters to a nearby hospital following the accident. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save his life, Peters succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities noted that Peters had been enjoying a ride through Nevada’s scenic desert highways at the time of the crash. This incident adds to a growing concern, as it marks the 52nd fatal crash in Southern Nevada this year, with 60 deaths reported so far in 2024.
Motorcyclists in Nevada are reminded to stay cautious, particularly given the state’s unpredictable road conditions and fast-moving traffic. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
