Indianapolis, Indiana – Ethan Lee Skinner, a 28-year-old resident of Indianapolis, tragically passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2024, at his home.
His sudden departure has left his family and friends in profound grief, as he was known for his vibrant spirit and love for adventure.
Born on June 18, 1996, in Henderson, Kentucky, Ethan was an avid enthusiast of snowboarding, hiking, camping, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and rock climbing.
A talented musician, he played the trumpet, guitar, and piano, and led worship with great passion.
Ethan graduated from Evansville North High School in 2015 and later from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 2018, where he was preparing to embark on a career as a State Farm agent.
His father, Curtis Skinner, shared a heartfelt message on social media, stating, “If you know of anyone who loved Ethan who may not see this post, please let them know.”
Condolences poured in from friends, with Maria Shipley commenting, “So sorry for your loss, Curtis! Sending love and hugs to you and your family!”
Ethan is survived by his parents, Curtis and Karen Skinner, his wife Riley (Hanagan) Skinner, and a large extended family.
A memorial service will be held on September 30, 2024, at Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, Indiana.
