Judith Anne Brett, a cherished teacher known affectionately as Judie, has passed away peacefully at the age of 68 at Treliske Hospital in Cornwall. Her death occurred on September 16, 2024, leaving a profound impact on her family, friends, and students at Penrice Academy, where she taught for over three decades.
Judie is remembered for her vibrant teaching style and her ability to make learning enjoyable. "Mrs. Brett was always a happy positive teacher. She made learning fun," recalled Andrea Clemo. Many former students expressed their sorrow and gratitude, with one stating, "Mrs. Brett, such a lovely lady! I still remember how oxbow lakes are formed!"
A celebration of her life will take place at Glynn Valley Crematorium in Bodmin on October 9, 2024, at 11:30 AM. The family encourages attendees to wear colorful clothing to honor her vibrant spirit. Donations in her memory are requested for the Heart of Headland charity.
Judith leaves behind her loving daughter Felicity, sister Penny, and nieces Chrissie and Abby, who will all miss her dearly. Her legacy as a dedicated educator will continue to inspire future generations.
