Beloved Columbus Resident Diane Galloway Humber Passes Away at 75, Remembered by Family and Friends

Diane Galloway Humber, a cherished member of the Columbus community, passed away on September 23, 2024, at the age of 75 at Hospice of West Alabama. Her death marks a profound loss for her family and friends, who celebrated her life and contributions.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation from 1 PM to 2 PM.

Diane is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roger Humber, and her two sons, Craig Humber and Brad Humber. She was the beloved sister of Jane Galloway Hindman and a proud grandmother to five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

The community has rallied to support the family during this difficult time. Phillip Karen Kizzire shared, “She’s the first of the 12 cousins who were very close, to get their wings! RIP Diane!” Another friend, Elizabeth Kizzire Burkett, expressed, “She was a precious lady that will be missed. My heart breaks for her family.”
