His family shared the sad news on social media, expressing their heartbreak over the loss of their loved one, who fought valiantly to return to New Zealand but is now at peace, free from pain and suffering.
Tarawhai Taraeka, one of Amosa’s family members, posted on Facebook, "It’s with a heavy heart and great sadness we would like to inform our family and friends that our Dad & Papa – Amosa Taraeka – courageous battle ended last night. He put up a good fight to return back to NZ and is now at peace free from the pain and suffering." The family has also set up a fundraiser to assist with funeral costs, expressing gratitude for any help they receive during this difficult time.
